As you would expect with a professional operation like Highlight, health and safety is our number one concern. That is why we operate one of the most comprehensive training programmes in the industry. We believe in a zero tolerance towards accidents, that is why you will never find a Highlight crew member who will cut corners and that is why you can rest assured that your crew will make the right decisions both on show design, preparation, transportation and risk management on site.
Shows are designed using a careful selection of materials specific to the event requirements. We will design shows that minimise risk from changes in site or weather conditions and will not compromise on the quality and safety of the event. Our events designers understand our products intimately and will produce stunning events often using a different range and calibre of materials than other firework companies may routinely quote. In many cases clients tell us that the quality and visual impact of a show has been enhanced when accepting our advice regarding material choice and show design.
Highlight are fully conversant with all legislation and regulation regarding the running of a professional firework display company. We operate with the Illuminate Consult training programme which is a 4 tier system with specialist training for more challenging display sites and environments.
All staff are examined by Illuminate Consult for each tier on an annual basis to ensure they are current with regulation changes and up to date with the latest rigging techniques together with any new materials and products.
Highlight are committed to reducing the impact on the environment and we now recycle over 85% of our waste and are aiming to increase this to over 90% by 2012. Highlight also comply with BS 8555 and BS 8901 regarding the environmental impact of events and sustainable event management systems.
